Stoke Fleming
The Pink house is in Stoke Fleming vilage. Which is just 3 miles from beautiful Dartmouth, 15 minutes walk to Blackpool sands beach
The charming village of Stoke Fleming lies on the coastline of Start Bay just 3 miles and a short drive from beautiful Dartmouth. Its clifftop position, lying within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), offers breathtaking panoramic views over one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the United Kingdom.
Back in history
The heart of the village is very much as it appeared in photographs from a hundred years and more ago: a narrow, winding main street flanked by high walls and the front doors of plain-fronted houses. From where the village shop sits on a corner a side road leads up to the parish church.
Walking distance to the beach
To the south the road leads steeply down to Blackpool Sands, a long ”Blue Flag” beach flanked by cliffs and bordered by tall pines. It is one of the area’s main attractions, with an attractive café and shop, and providing opportunities for various watersports as well as being a popular playground for families.
In the opposite direction, and virtually on Stoke Fleming’s doorstep, are Dartmouth and the River Dart, which offer a wide variety of things to do, afloat and ashore.
